Founded by Margate Mamas Jayne and Jess, and powered by a collective of local volunteers, we wash, package and distribute beautiful boxes of preloved baby clothes and essentials through referrals from social care and community workers.
The mamas who receive our boxes are experiencing one or more of the following challenges:
living in povertyescaping domestic abuseleaving the care systemsingle parenthood.
We curate each box individually to ensure there is a coherent collection for a new baby's wardrobe. Each box contains at least:
25 newborn & 0-3 or 3-6 month clothing itemsa blanket or sleeping baga muslin and comforter or soft toya pack of biodegradable wipesorganic cotton wool padspregnancy or new baby toiletry products.
In our first month we delivered 12 boxes to vulnerable mamas, equating to over 300 items of clothing plus blankets, muslins and toys.
From social media campaigns and community word of mouth alone, we are taking donations of over 1,500 items each month, all redirected from landfill and given another life.
We are currently seeking funding to allow the project to grow and to support these women further through a holistic package of support.
